Certified timber in the LIFE EcoTimberCell project, an action to combat climate change

From the LIFE ETC project we wanted to highlight the indisputable role of certified wood in mitigating climate change and its importance in low-energy construction. In this sector, wood not only acts as a carbon sink, it also reduces CO2 emissions resulting from the use of other materials.

Wood certification guarantees that the materials and products bearing this indicator come from responsibly managed plantations, as the entire value chain of the forest product from plantation to sale can be verified through forest management or chain of custody certificates.
